Auf der Suche nach einem Algorithmus zur Berechnung der RGB-Werte als Funktion der Licht-Wellenlänge bin ich auf der Seite http://www.topsoft.at/pstrainer/standards/color/science/wavelength.html gelandet.
Den dort vorgestellten Javascript-Quellcode habe ich in Excel (Datei) umgesetzt und den Mediawiki-Quellcode erzeugt. Das hiermit generierte Spektrum für den Bereich 370 - 790 Nanometer:
